Joe the Grower is a one-man farm in the community of Poughquag, New York. A modest operation with a big heart, Joe the Grower is the kind of farm market we all wish we had up the road — selling homemade doughnuts and coffee on crisp autumn mornings… growing beautiful flowers and plants for our homes and gardens (and Mother’s Day, of course)… bundling firewood to heat our homes.
But all of that was threatened by the terrible winter storms of 2013-14, when the farm was devastated by over 3 feet of snow, crushing the greenhouses that are the life’s blood of the business.
I created this video to introduce you to the magic of the farm, to Joe himself, to his sidekick Honeycomb — and to show you what we’re trying to help rebuild. We hope you can be a part of the effort, donating whatever you can — $5, $10, $100? Any contribution will help this wonderful business get back on it’s feet for spring. We can’t do it without you.
